[1] A maximum of 12 credit hours will be accepted at FAU for the Calculus sequence. This course as well as MAC 2312 and 2313 could be used towards BCC's math general education requirements. [2] A maximum of 8 credit hours will be accepted at FAU for the Physics sequence with lab. This course could be used towards BCC's science general education requirements. Physics II also applies. [3]This is not part of the Lower 48 curriculum but is required by the FAU Engineering Program, so the student can choose to take the course either at FAU or at the community college. [4] Should be taken first term of first year. [5] Seniors are allowed to choose two of the "II" courses to specialize in an area: Acoustics II, Materials II, Fluids II or Structures II . NOTE: The lower division credit hours listed above will count toward the AA degree. The BCC credits will all transfer into the Ocean Engineering program at FAU. If a student must take additional mathematics courses prior to becoming eligible for the initial calculus course listed in the 48 hours, those courses will count toward the A.A. Degree, but will be over and above the prescribed number of hours for the bachelor's in engineering. The AA degree assures that the student has met the Gordon Rule requirements of the State University System. Students transferring without the AA degree may have to take additional courses to meet the Gordon Rule. This curriculum is subject to change.
