BCC Curriculum Transfer to FIU

Florida International University (FIU) Mechanical Engineering Curriculum for Broward Community College (BCC). This curriculum applies to students entering BCC for a future transfer to FIU, and is divided into three sections: Lower Division Non-Technical, and Lower Division Technical from BCC, and an Upper Division Program from FIU.

* A minimum grade of C is required in all courses to be transferred.

** MAC 2312 and PHY 2048 must be complete before taking Statics. If the pre-requisites are not met, the course will not be accepted and the student will have to repeat the course!

*** If C for Engineers is transferred, it fulfills 3 credits of Eng Elective.

NOTE: In addition to the above listed courses, students must complete the following as deficiencies for their degree:

  1. Foreign language requirement (3 - 10 credits or 2 years in high school).
  2. Engineering Drawing or CAD (unless previously taken in high school).
  3. CLAST exam or proper exemptions.
  4. A minimum major GPA of 2.0 in all engineering courses.
  5. A minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
  6. A minimum of 128 credits must be completed.
  7. All other requirements as listed in the course catalog for the year that the student entered his/her program.
