MDC Curriculum Transfer to FIU

Florida International University (FIU) Civil Engineering Curriculum for Miami-Dade College (MDC). This curriculum applies to students entering MDC for a future transfer to FIU, and is divided into three sections: Lower Division Non-Technical and Lower Division Technical from MDC, and an Upper Division Program from FIU.

* A minimum grade of C is required in all Math, Science, and writing courses.

NOTE: In addition to the above listed courses, students must complete the following as deficiencies for their degree:

  1. Foreign language requirement (3 - 10 credits or 2 years in high school).
  2. Engineering Drawing or CAD (unless previously taken in high school).
  3. CLAST exam or proper exemptions.
  4. A minimum grade of C in all Engineering, Math, and Physical Science courses.
  5. A minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
  6. A minimum of 130 credits must be completed.
  7. All other requirements as listed in the course catalog for the year that the student entered his/her program.
