PBCC Curriculum Transfer to FAU Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Ocean Engineering Curriculum for Palm Beach Community College (PBCC). This curriculum applies to students entering PBCC for a future transfer to FAU, and is divided into three sections: Lower Division Non-Technical, and Lower Division Technical from PBCC, and an Upper Division Program from FAU.See the note at the bottom for stipulations, and speak to your department or school advisor (PBCC, FAU) if you have any questions. |

A maximum
of 12 credit hours will be accepted at FAU for the Calculus courses. This course as well as MAC 2312 and 2313 could be used towards
PBCC's math general education requirements. NOTE:
The lower division credit hours listed above will count toward
the AA degree. The PBCC credits will all transfer into the Ocean Engineering
program at FAU. If a student must take additional mathematics courses prior
to becoming eligible for the initial calculus course listed in the 48 hours,
those courses will count toward the A.A. Degree, but will be over and above
the prescribed number of hours for the bachelor's in engineering. The AA
degree assures that the student has met the Gordon Rule requirements of
the State University System. Students transferring without the AA degree
may have to take additional courses to meet the Gordon Rule.
This curriculum is subject to change. For the most current information,
students should check with departmental advisors at PBCC
or FAU. |
