PBCC Curriculum Transfer to FIU

Florida International University (FIU) Computer Engineering Curriculum for Palm Beach Community College (PBCC). This curriculum applies to students entering PBCC for a future transfer to FIU, and is divided into three sections: Lower Division Non-Technical and Lower Division Technical from PBCC, and an Upper Division Program from FIU.

* A minimum grade of C is required in all Math, Science, and writing courses.

** MAC 2312 and PHY 2048 must be complete before taking Statics, and MAC 2312 and PHY2049 must be completed before taking Networks. Also, students must have completed, or must be taking, MAP 2302 in order to take Networks. If the pre/corequisites are not met, the course will not be accepted and the student will have to repeat the course!

*** Whichever was not completed at the Community College.

NOTE: In addition to the above listed courses, students must complete the following as deficiencies for their degree:

  1. Foreign language requirement (3 - 10 credits or 2 years in high school).
  2. Engineering Drawing or CAD (unless previously taken in high school).
  3. CLAST exam or proper exemptions.
  4. A minimum grade of C- in all EEL, COP, CEN, and MAD courses.
  5. A minimum GPA of 2.0 in all EEL courses.
  6. A minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
  7. A minimum of 128 credits must be completed.
  8. All other requirements as listed in the course catalog for the year that the student entered his/her program.
